    Clues for Your Hike

    1. Enter the walking path by going past the large gate, with the dam on your right side.
    2. Walk up the gravel path to the top of the dam and then enter the path along the left side of the lake.
    3. You will see light blue blazes on trees as it goes uphill.
    4. As this path goes up and down hills, just continue to follow the blue blazes.
    5. You will pass a post on your right that says 1.5 – keep going.
    6. Pass a bench and a sign that says Hardwood Forest next 0.5 miles.
    7. Cross over the bridge as the trail wraps around the lake.
    8. You will pass a bench on your right and eventually another Hardwood Forest sign. The post will be ahead on your left, just before another bridge.
    9. Turn around and retrace your steps back to the parking area.
